Description

Enjoy a fascinating evening discovering the contrasting landscapes of Namibia - one of the most hauntingly beautiful countries on the planet - and hear accounts from the diaries of Christopher and Percy Powell-Cotton's 1937 expedition to the country.

This engaging, enciteful and emphatic presentation will walk people through the seemingly limitless opportunities for wildlife and discovery in Namibia, and its addictive-qualities that have fascinated and captured the hearts minds and eyes of so many travellers, scientists, conservationists and explorers for centuries.

Co–director of Wildlife Worldwide, Nick Joynes, first travelled to Namibia in 2001 and hasn’t yet been able to get the country out of his system. Returning almost every year since, suggestions are that if he were cut open it would say the word ‘Namibia’ and that his veins flow with the red sand of the ancient Namib!

A suggested voluntary contribution of £5 can be paid on the door with all proceeds going to the museum. Please kindly note that event requires advance registration via this form.
